PowerBI Developer

Overview:
The London Borough of Harrow is looking for a PowerBI Developer to join our IT team. The successful candidate will work with D365 Support team and business teams to understand the requirements and perform required Data Analysis, Design, Implementation, Administration, OLAP, ETL, Data Warehousing, Data Mining and Data Modelling. The post holder will be responsible for creating detailed documentation of requirements and data structure, data modelling used in the PBI reports along with generating dashboards, visuals, reference data in Power BI desktop and manage them in Power BI Cloud.
The appointed candidate will maintain the requirements in Azure DevOps and deliver based on priority. Working closely with Finance, Pension and D365 users to understand and deliver reporting requirements. The post holder will manage data flow between D365 FO to Azure SQL servers or Data Lake and create necessary tables in Azure Synapse Serverless SQL from Data Lake and other sources. The successful candidate will create views and store procedure to transform data whilst identifying the impact on reporting when new changes are implemented in D365 by working closely with HCL Team. You will provide ongoing support and maintenance for Power BI Reports, SSRS reports, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.

• Excellent technical and functional knowledge with Azure Technologies
• Excellent technical and functional knowledge with Data Warehousing, Data Mining and Data Modelling best practices.
• Excellent technical and functional knowledge with SSRS, SSMS aand ETL methodologies.
• Excellent technical and functional knowledge with M code, DAX and Power Query
• Excellent technical and functional knowledge with Power BI, SSMS, SSRS
• Strong communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Experience developing and delivering training programs for end-users.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
