LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS IN QUEBEC
Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance during engine strip and build on the CFM56 engine line while leading and approving work scope preparation and release
- Responsible for addressing and resolving Material Review Board (MRB) requests and other engineering snags respecting engines operations schedule and turnaround time deadlines
- Communicate technical issues with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and internal and external customers
- Prepare customized shop visit reports; initial findings or investigation engines a required
- Develop and maintain the Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions (LMCES) WorkScope Planning Guide documents
- Manage Service Bulletin review process
- Provide support to the Configuration Control Specialist during the publication review process
- Experience with aircraft propulsion and engine systems and troubleshooting, holds, eligible for, or work towards, Power Plant Design Engineer (DE)/Design Engineer Specialist (DES) designation, Transport Canada (TC) or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) delegate/designee or Design Approval Representative (DAR) or Designated Engineering Representative (DER) is an asset.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Materials Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in similar position, or equivalent experience in aircraft engines development and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Test cell experience is considered an asset
- Experience on engine ATA 72 with know-how on components (Life Limited Parts (LLPs), Fan frame, High Pressure Compressor (HPC), High Pressure Turbine (HPT), Low Pressure Turbine (LPT), Exhaust, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) & accessories) functionality, inspection as well as failure modes and corrections
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to conduct investigations & root cause analysis, develop engineering procedures and technical reports, MRB & Snags corrective actions and recommend manual revisions
- Engineering judgment, initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Willingness to be on call and to work extended hours including weekends
- Ability to summarize, Organizational planning and Problem solver
- Organizational skills and Tolerance to Stress
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in French and English.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS DESIRED FOR THE ROLE
- Hands on experience in handling technical aspects of MRO and troubleshooting of aircraft engines and components in an engine shop
- Fleet experience on propulsion, Gas Turbine engine systems and components repair procedures, failure mechanisms, investigations, findings and corrective actions
- Quantum Control experience is an asset.
