At Apple, we work every single day to craft products that enrich people’s lives. Do you love working on challenges that no one has solved yet? Then join our analog mixed signal physical design team here in Munich. The AMS team is responsible for a wide portfolio of IPs & complete subsystems going into all our Apple products. Power, Performance and Area are the critical figures of our IPs which can make the difference for our customers on e.g. battery life time, performance and also form factor of the devices. In the area of PPA analysis the work is not limited to the actual field of PD implementation and optimisation, also all the dependencies to other teams/functions like RTL, hardmacro, timing and technology should be considered. This internship would require a good knowledge of the concept and sub steps of physical design from RTL2GDS, as well as a good background of unix OS and tcl scripting. The intern will work and analyse existing IPs to find potential areas for further optimisation. Based on this findings implementation trails has to be performed to prove the concepts and resolve potential gain.
