PR Account Manager - Mid-weight

As an account manager, you’ll support an account director and work alongside another account manager in Cape Town. You’ll also be under the leadership and mentorship of an agency head in London on a mix of local and international business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ARE:

Overall, to assist with the quick and effective implementation of strategic client plans, which include:
Client service - Liaising directly with our clients and providing some consultancy, from time to time, with work on the go;
Content - Be a great writer and communicator for various needs, e.g. press release and op-ed writing, social post captioning, plan writing, day-to-day client/supplier liaison, etc.;
Media and influencer liaison - Know how to land great earned media coverage. Put your sales/pitching skills to the test by seeking out ways and means of generating quality exposure for our clients over the usual press release follow-up;
Event planning - Periodically help out with the planning, managing and hosting of a client event;
Reporting - Have experience using various brand tracking tools to compile practical and useful monthly client reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Matric; Relevant tertiary-level qualification (preferable).
Experience - 3 to 5 years as a PR account executive or account manager in an agency or a business/organisation
