WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

MEMAC Ogilvy is seeking a dynamic PR Account Manager to act as a crucial conduit between our valued clients and our creative and strategic internal teams. In this role, you will be entrusted with managing day-to-day client relationships, driving projects forward, and ensuring the delivery of top-tier solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in client-facing roles within the PR industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of client and agency operations, familiarity with Ogilvy’s capabilities.
  • Strategic Skills: Background in PR strategy and program development, offering strategic insights to clients.
  • Negotiation: Proven negotiation skills and forming strong client relationships at junior to mid-levels.
  • Project Management: Ability to deliver projects on budget and on time, with strong organizational skills.
  • Business Acumen: Developing commercial skills and financial understanding.
  • Agency Processes: Understanding agency processes in relation to client business.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong internal relationships, especially with creative teams.
  • Communication: Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Research & Analysis: Strong research, analysis, and trend identification skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipates project consequences and takes necessary action to keep projects on track.
  • Client Relations: Acts as the day-to-day client contact for logistical issues, building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead public relations strategies, writing, media, organizational, research, and production tasks.
  • Handle a broad variety of tasks independently and exercise sound judgement.
  • Play a primary role in implementing work on client accounts and projects.
  • Handle direct client contact, acting as a trusted advisor and programme developer.
  • Manage media monitoring solutions as necessary.
  • Perform day-to-day account work confidently and competently.
  • Work effectively with team members to implement assignments on budget and on deadline, balancing competing priorities.
  • Be fully familiar with group’s communications plans for accounts and understands and tracks clients’ businesses.
  • Liaise between client, outside suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.
  • Develop and sustain positive and professional relationship with client contacts.
  • Identify and propose ways to advance team, group, agency, and client interests.
  • Develop ability to conceptualize programme strategies and implementation tactics.
  • Routinely apply understanding of budget development and monitoring.
  • Contribute to budget development where appropriate.
  • Manage time for optimum productivity and maximum billability.
  • Understand and manage billing and activity reporting processes.
  • Meet billability targets established for the account manager position.
