Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 8 years’ experience regulatory reporting
  • Strong understanding of PRA requirements, including COREP, FINREP, and liquidity frameworks (LCR, NSFR)
  • Advanced proficiency in data manipulation, interpretation, and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI)
  • Proven experience implementing process automation within regulatory reporting or financial operations, ideally using tools such as RPA (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism) or scripting (e.g., Python)
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and recommend data-driven process improvements
  • High level of accuracy and precision in handling regulatory data and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and recommend proactive solutions
  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, finance, and compliance teams

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) Specialist to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract and will be based in London.
Our client is looking for a PRA Specialist with strong data literacy to join their regulatory reporting team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving process improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to streamline regulatory reporting processes, implement automation solutions, and enhance data accuracy and efficiency in line with Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with PRA regulations by preparing and submitting accurate and timely reports, including COREP, FINREP, liquidity (LCR), and capital adequacy reports (ICAAP)
  • Use advanced data literacy to analyse, interpret, and validate large sets of financial and regulatory data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with the IT and Data science teams to design and implement automated solutions that streamline the regulatory reporting process and reduce manual interventions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the regulatory reporting function, leveraging technology, automation, and efficient workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Work with various departments, including finance, risk, and technology, to ensure seamless data integration, reporting, and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and regulatory bodies, ensuring effective communication and understanding of regulatory changes and their impact on reporting processes
