REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality data solutions across multiple domains (BI, Advanced Analytics, AI, GenAI)
  • Advanced technical expertise in data science methodologies, analytics, and associated tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience overseeing and actively contributing to technical deliverables
  • Experience in data warehousing and modelling
  • Experience with transformation tools (e.g DBT, Keboola etc)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on developing technical talent
  • Proficiency in integrating and adopting new data tools and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to risk mitigation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced certifications are an advantage

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Practice Area Lead in Data Science & Analytics, you’ll work hands-on with technical teams across multiple projects. You’ll provide advanced problem-solving expertise, guide the adoption of innovative data techniques, and ensure the quality of our technical deliverables. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment, is passionate about data, and enjoys leading by example.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical direction across projects in BI, Reporting & Viz, Advanced Analytics, ensuring project outcomes meet high-quality standards.
  • Actively solve complex technical challenges and provide direct support to project teams, employing advanced problem-solving methods.
  • Serve as a go-to expert in multiple data science and analytics areas, influencing technical choices and ensuring optimal solutions.
  • Guide the adoption and integration of new tools and technologies within projects, enhancing the efficiency and impact of our solutions.
  • Contribute to building standard methodologies and reusable templates, shaping the technical IP library for future projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical support, mentoring, and hands-on guidance to junior and senior engineers.
  • Proactively identify and address technical risks within projects, minimizing potential setbacks and optimising project delivery.
  • Shaping our offering as a company around Data Science, Analytics and Advanced Analytics to enable up/cross sell opportunities and expansion within the market.
