Are you a Healthcare Advisor/ Advanced Nurse Practitioner looking to work for a Trust rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC?
Our friendly and supportive team based at the Garden Clinic (Sexual Health) in Slough, are looking for a Practice Development/ Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join a growing team. We work on a Monday to Friday basis, working 1 Saturday every 4 to 6 weeks.
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for those who are open minded and non-judgemental, with the ability to work in a highly confidential environment. Previous sexual health experience within GUM is essential for this role.

Working within Sexual Health, no day is the same and you will be met with a variation of cases from testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, and contraception . Giving you the exposure to develop and enhance your current skillset!

This is a hybrid role between Practice development nurse (PDN) and Advanced nurse practitioner (ANP). The post holder will be working flexibly between PDN or ANP role depending on service need. The post holder will work across the Integrated Sexual Health and HIV to provide education and training. You will work clinically with all nursing staff team members including nursing students, Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and nurses up to Band 7’s to ensure that continuing personal, professional, & practice development is an active process, & that high quality nursing care is delivered in line with current evidence-based practice.
The post holder will be responsible to provide specialist nursing advice to support and facilitate high quality, individualized sexual health care to patients and relatives/carers without supervision in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team in line with local and national targets.
They will work closely with the Clinic Manager/ANP’s and medical team to identify the training needs of the nursing staff in relation to knowledge and competence in providing optimum evidence-based practice . They will lead the clinical education and training to ensure that standards of nursing care are at a high level and reflects best practice complying with local and National policies .

Responsibilities:

NMC Registered Nurse (1 st Level Adult Nursing
Recognised qualification in management of sexually transmitted infections/STIF Intermediate or equivalent .
STIF Advanced
LoC IUT/Certificate in sub-dermal implants
Teaching skills. Managing a complex program including assessing learners needs, planning and organising programs, delivery and evaluation
