Description:

We are looking for a motivated individual to take on the role of a Practice Development Nurse within Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital on a fixed term contract ending on the 31 st of March 2025 to deliver the National Framework of Enhance Competency across Acute Medicine.
This is an ideal role for you if you are looking to take on a position in education, training and development of staff to inspire, influence and coach others to deliver excellent care by creating an environment conducive for our staff.
The candidate will work together with the Clinical Practice Educator and ward leadership team to develop and maintain an effective educational environment through coaching and developing all levels of staff across Acute Medicine.
The candidate must be committed to a high standard of patient care and safety and be willing to share and learn from incidents with a good understanding of governance and organisational priorities and challenges.
This role requires you to have a good understanding of different types of teaching methodologies, learning styles, leadership, mentoring, coaching and commitment to support staff in their development in delivering enhance care in clinical pratice.
The main priority for the role is to lead the development and delivery of an Enhance Care Competency for qualified nurses within the Directorate of Acute and Specailist Medicine. This will include the identification, development and delivery of educational and emotional support required for staff undertaking these roles.
The role will involve extensive engagement with all the Directorates and clinical areas to ensure compliance with the standards required for acute and specialist services.
To be an expert practitioner and change agent in acute and specialist nursing, promoting lifelong learning.
