Description:
Job Summary Grafton Medical Partners are looking to recruit an experienced Practice Nurse in South West London. You will primarily be based at out Trevelyan House site in Tooting with good public transport links. The role requires NMC Registrations and experience working in a Primary Care. You will need to be competent administering immunisations, completing chronic disease reviews and performing Cervical Smear Tests.
We would prefer the successful candidate to work 37.5hours per week with a 1 in 4 Saturday commitment. You will benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave pro rata, Bank Holidays, NHS Pension and Blue Light Card discounts. Job responsibilities Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by Practice Nurse Manager and GPs. Responsibilities will be inclusive, but not limited to: Essential Basic wound care/ulcer care Removal of sutures New patient medicals Urinalysis ECGs NHS Health Checks Peak flow readings Blood pressure measurements Cervical Smear Test Routine immunisations Childhood and General Immunisations Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings Requesting basic pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate Desirable Diabetes Checks Venepuncture Other roles Ordering of stock Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels Following a Cold-Chain Protocol Participation in administrative systems in the Practice Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required On occasion there may be a requirements to undertake home visits Other delegated duties considered appropriate to the post To undertake any other reasonable tasks as allocated by managers and/or GP Partners.

Working Environment: Carry out routine checks to ensure your work station is clean and tidy at the start and end of your shift. Ensure all equipment in your work station is operational and up to date and report any issues to your line manager. Ensure that confidential patient information is stored and handled according to protocol and report any concerns to your line manager.
Health & Safety Assist in promoting and maintaining your own and others health, safety and security as defined in the Practice Health and Safety policy. Ensure that any hazards in your working area are reported immediately to your line manager. Confidentiality Ensure patient and Practice information is kept confidential and secure at all times, in accordance with the Information Security and Confidentiality protocols. Performance/Professional Development To participate in training sessions to ensure administrative, clinical and computer skills are kept up to date with current technology and practice.
To participate in regular appraisal meetings. To participate in regular team meetings.
