Description:
We have 2 posts available for a Senior Clinical Psychologist (or equivalent) or a more recently qualified Clinical Psychologist seeking a preceptorship role. Both posts are within adult inpatient services. One post is at the Welland Centre, Kettering and one post is located at Berrywood Hospital, Northampton. Th adult inpatient service offers direct psychological work to service users on inpatient admission, as well as psychological support to staff in the form of staff training, reflective practice and supervision. There are opportunities for service development as well as professional development. The psychology service is highly valued in both hospitals.
In addition to the benefits offered under the NHS terms and conditions of service, this post additionally attracts an incentive of £5000 pro rata for the successful applicant/s paid over the first 18 months of employment. Please note incentive payments are not applicable to existing NHFT substantive staff. Terms and conditions apply. In addition, a relocation package is available up to £8,000, if the successful postholder relocates to Northamptonshire and meets other eligibility criteria. This is subject to approval.
The post holder will work alongside other psychology colleagues as part of multidisciplinary teams to:
Offer assessment, formulation and intervention for a wide range of presentations using both individual and group approaches
Offer Case Formulation, reflective practice and training sessions for staff teams to extend psychological ways of working
Collaborate in using outcome information to inform and develop good practice
supporting and advising on patient care pathways
