Description:
To contribute to the delivery of patients individual care needs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
To work flexibly as part of a team. Undertaking Observations, phlebotomy, taking ECGs and MRSA swabbing.
To act as a receptionist for patients visiting the unit.
To practice in accordance with the Trusts standards and statutory requirements
The post is advertised as a band 3 role subject to the following:
- successfully completing the care certification within the six month probationary period of employment, during which you will be paid Band 2
or
- providing a copy of your completed care certificate which has been reviewed during the recruitment process and determined as meeting the accepted standard
Upon successful completion (or accepted evidence) of the Care Certification and completion of the probationary period of employment, you will be promoted to NHS AFC Band 3
Failure to complete the Care Certification within this timeframe may result in termination of employment
The individual is expected to represent the department in which they work supporting the clinical leadership team as well as the clinical team to support in the delivery of high quality, standardised evidenced based care. To provide skilled nursing care to patients attending Pre Assessment, with an awareness of the importance of the multidisciplinary team.
