Pre-Clinical Research Nurse

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF

• You have nursing experience in either human or veterinary, or pre-clinical environments with relevant qualifications.
• Experience of working alongside surgeons in theatre and in setting up for cases.
• Good observational skills to recognise early indications of problems that may occur in recovery.
• Good IT skills, and an ability to learn to effectively use new software or IT systems when required.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to deal with and prioritise a range of ongoing tasks at the same time, and to be able to cope under pressure.

THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit a number of nurses to support our pre-clinical research facility. The role requires you to provide a professional nursing service to support world leading medical research.
Candidates will be employed on a casual basis, with varied hours available.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Working alongside colleagues you will provide essential nursing support to ensure the care and wellbeing of animals in our care.
• Supporting both theatre and after care.
• Supporting the day to day running of the facility in compliance with the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act , relevant Health and Safety and other legislative or policy requirements.
