Description:

LOCATION:

Humlebæk, DK
Job Family: Research & Development
Country/Region: Denmark
Are you an expert on pre-clinical test methods or do you aspire to become one? And would you like to use this knowledge to make a difference to people with intimate health care needs? Join us to investigate how our medical devices interact with our end-users during use and develop test methods to support the development of new innovations for our different business areas.
Dedication
At our HQ in Humlebæk, you will be joining our R&D organisation as part of the pre-clinical team. Here you will join a development team where you will work alongside 20 fellow biological, mechanical, chemical and polymer scientists with the purpose of developing test methods coming as close to our users as possible.
Together we support product and technology development projects with test method solutions within wound-, continence-, bowel and ostomy care products and work closely with our specialized lab technicians.
“There’s a really unique atmosphere of dedication and commitment within the team. Knowledge sharing is top of mind – always – and with different areas of expertise, we complement each other really well,” explains Lene Feldskov, Director for Pre-clinical, Test & Characterization within R&D.
Become one of our experts as a paternity cover for 1½ year
Stepping into the role of pre-clinical test method scientist, you will develop and optimising test methods within the biomedical interface, more precisely with skin- and wound models, microbiological tests and biochemical assays investigating how devices and users work together. Doing so, you will be supporting and participating in various projects, just as you will rethink and challenge our solutions, revisit former projects and follow up on issues.
Thus, you can look forward to spending a great deal of your time in the lab, participating hands-on in the testing, collaborating closely with our lab technicians. Moreover, you will work with material and mechanical design specialists, the users of our products and of course your colleagues within the team.
Knowledge about pre-clinical tests and eagerness to explore further
We do not expect you to know all there is to know about the tasks at hand, nor for you to have hands-on experience with pre-clinical tests – though this would of course be an advantage. The important thing is your willingness to explore the existing models and pursue an understanding of why some things work while others do not.

IN ORDER TO EXCEL AT THIS, WE IMAGINE THAT YOU:

  • Have a technical background as a biochemist or engineer
  • Have experience with medical devices, preferably in relation to pre-clinical testing
  • Speak and write English fluently
    Interested?
If you would like to know more about the position, please mail or call Head of Pre-Clinical Lotte Stoklund at dklst@coloplast.com or on +45 4911 2732 or Director for Pre-Clinical Lene Feldskov Nielsen at dklfn@coloplast.com or on +45 4911 1888.
