Description:

TERMS

Our client has secured a significant contract for the delivery of key technology to support the Boliden Odda Zinc Smelter Expansion project in western Norway. This expansion, known as “Green Zinc Odda,” is part of Boliden Odda’s ambitious plan to increase its annual zinc metal production capacity from 200,000 to 350,000 tonnes, while also producing various valuable by-products. Notably, the project prioritizes sustainable practices by relying on fossil-free energy sources.

  • The project is scheduled to start with immediate effect.
  • Contract type: fixed-term employment or freelance project.
  • The position requires a commitment of 57 hours per week.
  • Home leaves will be provided on 4 weeks on / 1 week off schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 4 years in EPC environment with at least 1-2 years in completions.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database management.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical activities related to field inspections and to operate standard office equipment.
  • Experience in industrial plant settings and ability to work under stress with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive turnover packages aligned with system and sub-system requirements.
  • Actively track and resolve issues impacting the efficiency of system turnovers.
  • Lead and participate in system walkdowns to ensure all installations meet project standards.
  • Interface with Construction, Field Engineering, and Pre-Commissioning teams to emphasize the urgency of meeting deadlines.
  • Review and interpret engineering designs and system scoped drawings to create accurate system tag lists.
  • Ensure that field-generated inspection records are complete and logged accurately into management software for tracking.
  • Manage and review punch list items for completeness and progress through the Unifier database.
  • Coordinate the delivery of completions from implementation contractors to the turnover team, ensuring seamless transitions.
