SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Bid Manager or 5+ strong years Project Manager or similar role
  • Strong background in writing detailed construction programs
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related discipline
  • Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand building codes and contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet
  • Committed to delivering high-quality results

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll lead our tendering process by coordinating bid submissions, technical writing, and construction program development. You’ll be key in connecting consultants, trade partners, and our internal teams.
We offer flexibility regarding your location, with opportunities available in Otago, Queenstown, Wānaka, Auckland, or Canterbury.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Close collaboration with the Executive Team, National Pre-Construction Manager, and teams from Procurement, Estimating, and Marketing to create innovative and competitive tender strategies.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, team members, and trade partners.
  • Developing strategic plans with the team to secure winning bids.
  • Working collaboratively within the team to identify new opportunities.
  • Understanding and resolving complex technical methodologies.
  • Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of bids.
  • Identifying and managing potential risks.
  • Ensuring timely submission of compliant and commercially viable bids.
  • Driving continuous improvement through post-bid reviews and industry research.
  • Meeting time-sensitive deadlines across national teams.
