The Recruiting and Pre-Employment Specialist plays a critical role in supporting multiple departments, focusing on the pre-employment screening process. Your Impact:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to HR, Talent, Safety, and Field Operations teams.
  • Data Management: Ensure timely and accurate data entry, document notes, update statuses in the recruiting tool, manage spreadsheets, and complete weekly reports.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Review pre-employment screening reports, order background checks, drug screenings, and other required reports. Escalate issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
  • Candidate Experience: Create a positive candidate experience by being attentive and responsive throughout the recruiting and pre-employment process.
  • Communication: Maintain timely and appropriate communication with internal teams and external partners, including third-party vendors to obtain results.
  • Compliance: Ensure all searches comply with company policies, procedures, and employment laws and regulations. Adhere to all DOT and FMCSA regulations and standards.
  • Cross-Training: Cross-train to assist recruiters when necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality, seamless candidate experience.

You Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year in high-volume administrative, human resources, or safety support roles. Knowledge of HTA regulations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong work ethic, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capable of working as a team member or independently.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports and documents.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
