Description:
The Providence Country Day School is seeking a part-time (academic year) Pre-K Teacher’s Associate. Our teachers act on the belief that 100% of students can unfold their true human potential, and help cultivate the formation of a positive identity for our students while preparing them to live and work together in a dynamic and diverse world.
PCD’s Pre-K classes are welcoming, vibrant learning environments that nurture passion for learning, inspire creativity, and develop skills through instruction and support students as a part of their growth and development in our program. Our Pre-K classroom uses the Emilia Reggio approach to learning, which allows for deep learning through student-centered exploration.
Demonstration of strong classroom management skills, an investment in continued professional growth, comfort using classroom technology, and a commitment to promoting a diverse community is expected. They are responsible for ongoing assessment and communication with parents and the lead Pre-K teacher about children’s progress.
All Lower School teachers are expected to be active community members, sharing supervisory duties and general support and care of the school community.
