Pre-Press Specialist

We are offering a long-term employment opportunity for a Pre-Press Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in Galesburg, Michigan. This role involves a combination of creative and technical tasks within the realm of print production, specifically focusing on preparing and organizing print files for the press, and managing the print machine and label printing process. This position is instrumental in ensuring the quality and accuracy of print materials produced. This role is onsite 5 days per week in Galesburg, MI.

• Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop, to prepare and finalize print files.
• Oversee the pre-press process for various print projects, including advertisements, labels, and digital print press.
• Manage color correction processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of print colors across different print runs.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance tasks on label printers, digital print presses, and other relevant machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Work closely with the rest of the production team to ensure the smooth transition of projects from the pre-press stage to the printing stage.
• Apply knowledge of print production processes and standards to troubleshoot issues and optimize output.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in pre-press technology and industry trends to continuously improve efficiency and quality.
• Ensure all artwork is correctly formatted and ready for print.
• Maintain an organized digital filing system for all pre-press materials.
• Handle any other pre-press related duties as needed, ensuring all print materials adhere to the highest quality standards.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience in pre-press and print production processes.
• Knowledge of color correction techniques and practices.
• Ability to work with various printing techniques including label printers and letterpress printing.
• Demonstrated skill in creating and editing digital artwork.
• Familiarity with creating and designing advertisements.
• Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry, particularly in relation to print materials.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently when necessary.
• Should be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
