Description:

We are looking to appoint Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians and have 3 posts within Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. 2 posts available as cross-sector between HMP Stoke Heath and a Community Pharmacy in Oakengates and 1 post, cross-sector, working in our Community Hopsitals and a Community Pharmacy.
The role is challenging, varied, complex and responsive to the increasingly innovative development of new medicines and their role in healthcare today.
The training opportunity is an advanced apprenticeship full time fixed term contract for 2 years. You will study to achieve this : - Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) apprenticeship standard. This qualification is approved to enable you to apply for registration to practice as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Training and support will be provided by work based mentors and course tutors during your training.

Whist in training the post holder will carry out pharmaceutical duties, under the direct supervision of an appropriate person in all sections of the cross-sector agreement.
Some of the duties will be in the form of training exercises and competence-based assessments in conjunction with the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) apprenticeship standard, including one study day per week.
