We are currently looking for a Pre- Sales Atomic Spectroscopy Application Specialist (m/f/d) to join the Application Team in Waldbronn, Germany.

  • You will be a part of a professional team of Application Specialists in the Agilent’s Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group spread over four different Center of Excellences across Europe.
  • You will work closely with the Sales Team and other Application Specialists to support the sales process by developing applications as well as demonstrating our instrumentation & workflows to customers addressing their analytical needs according to the market situation.
  • You will be the expert of our analytical workflows for the related products. It is therefore important that you are technically strong, proactive, communicative and a teammate.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply established methods to customer samples, transfer customer methods to Agilent instruments or develop new application workflows where required, to demonstrate the performance of Agilent’s Atomic Spectroscopy portfolio to our customers in the Agilent Center of Excellence in Waldbronn, Germany.
  • Understand customer’s challenges, recommend solutions, and ensure the highest customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and position the results to customers through presentations during scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and user meetings.
  • Travel to customer sites to present results, implement methods, provide application consultancy, and deliver on-site customer trainings classes.
  • Participate in the design and delivery of sales training about Atomic Spectroscopy technology and related workflows.
  • Provide your application and market expertise at every level of the value chain, internally by working closely with product managers, marketing managers, sales teams, and customer support but also externally with (prospect) customers and key opinion leaders within the market.
  • Interact with our R&D departments to address current technologies & applications and to incorporate requirements into upcoming products.
  • Maintain and expand critical domain knowledge including the latest scientific findings, market & technology trends, industry benchmarks & regulations and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely together with the sales teams to exceed Atomic Spectroscopy sales targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master Degree or equivalent (PhD preferred) with a strong focus on instrumental analysis.
  • Knowledge and Hands-on experience (3+ years) with Atomic Spectroscopy (ICP-OES, ICP-MS and/or ICP-QQQ), its operation with focus on applications.
  • Ideally knowledge and hands-on experience with sample preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience in Atomic Spectroscopy method development and optimization.
  • Excellent presentation, communication (written & oral) and customer facing skills are required.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Well-organized to be able to meet deadlines while handling several different projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel (throughout Europe) up to 25% of the time.
  • Fluent verbal & written German and English skills.
