Band 7-8a preceptorship post with funding for further training. Applications welcome from trainees qualifying this year & current B7’s wishing to expand their experience.
Greenwich CAMHS provides an opportunity to be part of a large CAMHS service, providing support to families & young people across a range of care sectors. The post is part of a multidisciplinary team working with young people requiring assessment & intervention for a range of complex mental health needs.
There is a large psychology team within Greenwich CAMHS which offers excellent support, supervision & opportunities for continued professional development. Early identification of areas for development & training are key in the preceptorship process & this role comes with allocated funding to access training identified through a Personal Development Plan.
The attached preceptorship criteria document outlines the process for promotion to 8a, 18mths to 2 years after qualifying as a B7. The document sets out the competencies to be met & how a personal development plan supports this progression.
To provide a qualified clinical psychology (or equivalent) service to CAMHS clients across all sectors of care, providing specialist psychological assessment & therapy at the same time as offering advice & consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues within & outside the organisation & to other non-professional carers, working within the overall framework of the team’s policies & procedures.
