Description:

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Diplôme universitaire dans un domaine scientifique (Baccalauréat ès sciences en science alimentaire, ou en biologie, ou en chimie, ou en toxicologie, ou en nutrition) requis. Une maîtrise est préférée;
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en affaires réglementaires dans une entreprise de produits de consommation;
  • Expérience avérée de la liaison avec les associations professionnelles du secteur;
  • Maîtrise des applications informatiques (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Access, Optiva);
  • Le bilinguisme est requis, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a scientific field required (B.S., Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Toxicology, or Nutrition); M.S. Preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in a Consumer Products Company.
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with industry trade associations.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Access, Optiva).
  • Bilingualism required, both spoken and written

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product formulations to provide mandated labelling content by working closely with R&D scientists while delivering against desired marketing requirements in a compliant manner.
  • Review and approve final product labels, ensuring compliance with local legislation and market authorizations.
  • Ensure product formulations and ingredients comply with Health Canada regulations.
  • Provide regulatory input for early innovation of new products by reviewing marketing concepts and claims for consumer studies.
  • Ensure appropriate scientific support of Canadian-based product claims to obtain the most competitive labelling possible.
  • Advocate for the company’s interests, liaising directly with industry trade associations.
  • Proactively monitor the regulatory and governmental environment, remaining aware of changes, identifying impact to products, and executing the regulatory strategy to ensure timely compliance with new regulations.
  • Offer solutions to strategic and tactical regulatory and governmental issues.
  • Manage complex regulatory projects to deliver against regulatory initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates to matrixial teams on projects, plans, business goals, and ensure alignment in areas of responsibility.
  • Manage all paper, electronic files, and information management databases.
  • Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Regulatory Affairs department by supporting and improving various systems and processes.
  • Build strong relationships within division/departments on both local and global levels and with external stakeholders.
