Description:

WHO WE ARE:

Ormiston Meadows Academy (OMA) is a happy, supportive and caring place to be. We understand the demands of the education industry and enable a sensible approach to workload, and a calm and respectful environment. We have a comprehensive professional development calendar and qualification opportunities are offered to all staff at all levels. They are delivered within the academy, via OAT or via accredited external providers.
The successful candidates will align with our school values: Be your best, Expect the Best, Succeed, Together (BEST for short!) These are firmly embedded within our culture, and we are proud that our staff and pupils demonstrate them daily.
Our new colleague will also benefit from being part of Ormiston Academies Trust, a MAT of 43 primary and secondary academies. The Trust’s vision is for all young people to have access to the highest academic, social and practical skills required to achieve their full potential. OAT support all staff so that they can enhance and develop their professional skills whatever their role within the trust.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an individual who has a very flexible and ‘common-sense’ approach to suit the varied aspects of the job. No day will ever be the same! The successful candidate will be a confident communicator as they will need to liaise with staff, contractors and members of the wider ‘Ormiston family’ to ensure the school building is a safe place for staff, pupils and visitors. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate commitment, energy, and drive and who has a practical, hands-on approach to finding solutions to problems. If you have a ‘Can Do’ attitude, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide caretaking and estates services for our lovely school! Duties will include supporting senior leaders with the management of health and safety throughout the school, as well as carrying out repairs and maintaining the school site. The role is based on working 30 hours per week, term time plus 6 weeks in the school holidays (44 working weeks per year).
