Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong understanding of (ITALIAN) food.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with food preparation and comfortable with Italian food
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking processes.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 30 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients according to recipes and instructions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
  • Support the head chef and other kitchen staff in various cooking tasks as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
