Description:

The Presales Solutions Engineer is a key part of the organization providing technical pre-sales support to a dedicated sales team to match customer needs to OpsGuru solutions and recommend viable paths for prospects and customers. In this role, you will work closely with our sales team, AWS, and clients to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, focusing on packaged solutions such as Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot workload migrations, and ISV-based solutions for SaaS, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR).
You will collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique business and technical requirements and assess whether they are suited to OpsGuru’s packaged AWS solutions. Your technical expertise, customer-facing skills, and collaborative mindset will be critical in delivering innovative cloud-based solutions that drive value for our clients.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical presales, solutions architecture, or cloud consulting role
  • Hands-on expertise with designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, preferably on AWS
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including networking, security, storage, and serverless technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed to support sales and deployment activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification
  • Experience working with customers in the SMB market
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go
