Tri-State Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is an independent, well-respected and busy orthopaedic group who has been providing the Pittsburgh region with the most advanced orthopaedic care for more than 45 years. We are actively recruiting for a full-time Prescription/Clinical Triage Assistant to work in the Clinical Triage Department of our North Hills (McCandless) Office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Taking and directing and/or responding to patients’ care-related calls and messages, scheduling testing for patients, managing medication refill requests, submitting medication prescriptions to pharmacies electronically and via phone, obtaining medication insurance authorizations, forwarding appropriate messages to Physicians/Providers to address, scheduling patient appointments as indicated, and other related tasks and/or clerical work. Candidates must possess strong telephone and computer skills and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service with a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced practice environment. Medical terminology required. Medication/pharmacy background a plus.
