REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Self-going and able to track and manage a wide variety of tasks in a multifaceted work environment, being proactive and able to prioritize. Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Passion for TV and well-developed awareness of on-air presentation and promotional strategies. Ownership and initiative and pro-active approach to problem solving.
- A positive personal attitude and the ability and willingness to be a phenomenal teammate.
- Proficient skills in Finnish and English language, both verbal and written
- Experience in working with different IT systems simultaneously and navigating in them
- Good excel skills
- Confident in collaborating with internal team members (such as our Nordic Programming team, Nordic Commercial team, Creative team, Marketing team, Traffic/Operations team) as well as external partners (Ad sales partners, Playout)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Initial work experience from broadcast media or media agency

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
Join Our Team as a Presentation Scheduler for STAR and National Geographic!
Are you ready to take on a multifaceted role that brings our TV channels to life?
As our Presentation Scheduler for STAR and National Geographic reporting to our Manager FTA Program & Presentation, you’ll be responsible for our daily transmission playlists for FTA channels in Finland run efficiently and meet our high standards. You’ll create monthly promo campaign plans according to agreed monthly highlights. You will also be responsible for creating monthly breaks for FTA channels according to demand of ad space capacity asked from 3rd parties.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Complete and deliver daily transmission playlists compliant to local broadcast law and according to agreed commercial and promotional strategies for our FTA channels.
- Improve viewer retention through careful management of channel architecture, application of break patterns and management of brands and on-air promo campaigns. Ensure the commercial availability meets the agreed levels for each hour of the day.
- Scheduling short form elements; including on-air promotions campaigns, presentation and continuity elements and secondary events according to predefined strategies and guidelines. Check that programme information is as planned and managing the timing of the playlists so the start times fall within agreed policies.
- Deliver make-list and participate promo strategy process with Creative team. Responsible for tracking TRP delivery for promos on the channel and report to relevant partners.
- Ensure all physical media is available for broadcast. Effectively manage late programme delivery, promotional changes and other unexpected events related to the playlists.
- Work closely with Manager for STAR and Schedule Coordinator for National Geographic as well as Director TV Networks to ensure we have the best possible viewer experience on the channel. Flag any issues or challenges to Director TV Networks.
- Be backup for other Presentation Schedulers in periods of holiday, illness or busy times
- Be a proactive member of the FTA scheduling team to ensure we have the best possible viewer experience and commercial attractiveness for our channels. Participate and contribute in pan-Nordic programming task groups.
