POSITION SUMMARY:

The President role requires a seasoned executive with a proven track record of managing a growing manufacturing business. The President is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the VaughanAir business including sales, manufacturing operations, and product development. Key team members for these roles are in place. The role is responsible for formulating effective strategies to leverage the team to enhance revenue, profitability, and market presence. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, sales and marketing skills, and strong leadership abilities to drive the success of this enterprise.
The ideal candidate should feel comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and must be able to effectively liaise internally with team members as well as with outside stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proven experience as the senior leader for developing and executing business strategies in a manufacturing business that drive profitable business growth.

  • Experience in developing strong relationships with employees and third-party business partners.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy: Provide leadership to guide the company towards its long-term goals and objectives. Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the vision and goals for the company. Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and technological advancements to enhance growth and innovation. Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration and innovation. Create executive relationships and support team relationships with rep firms, customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Maintain excellent working relationships with the UEP Management Services team that provides all HR, finance, marketing, technology, procurement, and risk management services for the business. Collaborate with the Portfolio Management leadership team to set long-term business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Team Development: Foster a high-performance positive work culture aligned with the company’s core values that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement. Provide strong leadership and guidance to the management team and optimize business workflows. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team capable of scaling with the growth of the business. Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Sales & Marketing Management: Work with the VaughanAir sales team and portfolio marketing team to develop strategies to increase our rep network and OEM presence and improve brand visibility.Oversee the process for evaluating and implementing pricing strategies to achieve profitability goals while ensuring that the company remains competitive in the market.
Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of business operations including production, supply chain, quality assurance, R&D, and distribution. Ensure efficient use of resources and implement initiatives to optimize operational performance. Establish performance metrics and regularly assess operational efficiency and productivity. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in production and operational processes.
Financial Management: Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer Direct for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, procurement, and cost management to meet profitability targets. Manage financial performance, including profit margins, and cost controls. Drive initiatives to achieve optimal operational costs, improving margins, and optimizing working capital.
Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure the business adheres to all regulatory requirements, environmental policies, quality standards, and safety standards. Work with the portfolio risk management team to identify and mitigate business risks related to operations, market competition, and global economic conditions. Establish contingency plans and crisis management strategies for unexpected disruptions.
