Huntsman is seeking a Pricing Analyst supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Pricing & Invoicing Team lead.
Job Scope
Responsible for managing all sales pricing related activity including assuring correct and approved invoice pricing, credits, debits, consignment billing, demurrage invoicing, rebates, commissions, over and short payment investigations, and sales close activities. Coordinate the monthly sales orders and billing closing process.

As the Pricing Analyst you will:

  • Review customer orders for accuracy while ensuring on time billing using Oracle reports and SAP.
  • Research and resolve customer invoice disputes while working closely with credit, customer service, sales, customers, and finance.
  • Reconcile and invoice month end billing types under strict deadlines with a very high degree of accuracy.

Key Accountabilities:
ANALYZE AND IMPROVE - Report trends in customer behavior to business contacts so immediate action can be taken. Provide valuable analytics to management and key stakeholders. Understand the full order to cash process and be a subject matter expert and resource on customer accounts for other functions. Continuously strive for efficient processes and improvements within the role.
RESEARCH AND RECONCILE - Research customer disputes and push for timely resolution through the proper channels. Verify the accuracy of accounts receivable and process miscellaneous customer adjustments as needed in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley principles. Maintain proper accruals and process payments of rebates and commissions. Reconcile the previous month’s sales, process month end billings, and reconcile inventory balances.
REVIEW FOR ACCURACY - Review open orders and order changes ensuring correct pricing, fees and accruals are present according to the business requirements. Verify and seek approval for manual pricing or payment terms and other order specific special requests. Process blocked orders, reviewing for accuracy and pushing for timely billing. Confirm proper invoicing and posting of accounting documents.
Required Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

  • Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in Pricing/Invoicing, Order Management, Supply chain, Finance, or Business Analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree on a quantitative field (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Foreign Logistics etc.). Bachelor’s Degree can be substituted by 4+ years of overall experience.
  • Process improvement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, able to challenge the status quo.
  • Lean six sigma, knowledge. Certification is a nice to have, but not required.
  • Strong attention to Detail to ensure accuracy on data reports and processes.
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks in a timely manner and to keep track of ongoing pending requests.
  • Ongoing communications with Customer service and Business stakeholders via email.
  • Language: English and Spanish – written and spoken proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Sales & distribution and CRM modules experience.
  • Chemical industry or similar industry experience.
  • Ability to think independently, make decisions, and influence outcomes is required.
  • High ability to multitask and prioritize workload and achieve objectives in a timely manner is required.
  • Strong typing ability, accurate data entry skills, and ability to communicate clearly both written and orally is essential.
