REQUIREMENTS:
- Microsoft Office proficient, Microsoft Excel expert User (able to guide others), VBA desirable. Additional coding experience (Python) desirable.
- Proven ability to present information effectively.
- Ability to proactively devise and implement solutions to novel and complex problems across multiple disciplines and departments to ensure business advantage.
- Awareness of risk management techniques.
- Understanding of retail pricing policies/methodologies and systems.
- Understanding of elements that contribute to final delivered prices and cost items incurred by business in course of gas and electricity purchase.
- Proactive understanding and management of economic, market and regulatory issues impacting on pricing. Communicating them and managing the resolution of any such issues.
- Knowledge of retail products and commodity markets.

- Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
To ensure the business manages flexible trades appropriately, including updating the Pricing & Billing system with correct price and volume data.
To provide appropriate level of query management and work around support to the wider business in respect of quoting activity for trade capture.
To provide regular and accurate information to customers to enable them to manage their flexible trade position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update and validation of traded prices and volumes in relevant system to enable the production of import and export bills.
- Update data and circulate information on a regular basis to both customers and the wider business in relation to Gas and Electricity flexible trades.
- Continuous review and improvement of processes, focusing on system and automation.
- Understanding and management of economic, market and regulatory issues impacting pricing. Communicating and contributing to the management and resolution of any issues.
- Provide information and Key Business Indicator (KBI)/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to allow management of costs and charges and implement action plans to ensure they are maintained within acceptable parameters.
- Work with wider business to ensure good stakeholder engagement and customer service as well as identifying issues, communicating them and enabling a resolution.
- Provide subject matter expert input into projects and programmes.
- Provide support to product development and bespoke product development.
- Adherence to and the development of internal processes, policies and risk frameworks.
