Responsibilities:
We have an exciting opportunity for a results-driven and self-starter Pricing or Commercial Analyst with good commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills - to join our Pricing & Customer Value team, a business partnering function within the Commercial division of Supermarkets.
The purpose of this role is to collaborate closely with the Category Teams in analysing and interpreting cost increase submissions from suppliers and help identify customer value insights. The main goal is to deliver optimal financial outcomes for both customers and the business. The position offers exposure to commercial forums and valuable insights into the commercial negotiation process, with a particular focus on identification of commercial opportunities for cost reduction and avoidance.
- Deep dive into supplier cost increase submissions, meticulously analysing data to uncover hidden opportunities for cost reduction, avoidance and optimisation
- Translate cost insights into clear, actionable recommendations that drive tangible financial benefits for both customers and the business
- Proactively frame business problems and gather relevant data from diverse sources, injecting analytical rigour and innovative thinking into the challenges faced by the category teams
Act as a trusted business partner to category teams, providing expert guidance on pricing strategies, cost analysis, and value optimisationActively participate in commercial forums, contributing valuable insights and building strong relationships with key stakeholders
