QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS (ABOUT YOU):

  • 2+ years’ experience in similar role in cost, pricing or related field (e.g. data management)
  • High School diploma, post-secondary education in Business Administration or related program would be an asset.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite applications
  • Exposure to AS400

Responsibilities:

ROLE:

This role is responsible for the input, maintenance, and accuracy of all locally managed customer pricing for the region. This includes maintaining and managing vendor allowances, tenders, and pricing agreements.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hold an in depth understanding of the components of cost to ensure accurate customer pricing and item profitability
  • Ensure all customer bids for local territory, local contract and bid customers are updated and maintained
  • Complete set up and maintenance of customer fee codes
  • Support sales associates with customer velocity and other reporting as necessary
  • Ensure processes include required internal controls to comply with SOX and internal audit requirements.
  • Implement customer contracts timely and accurately.
  • Investigate and resolve billback discrepancies to ensure profit margins are accurately reflected and to mitigate financial loss as a result of errors
  • Review daily margin discrepancies and inquiries and assist in resolving errors as well as seeking opportunities to increase profit margin.
  • Ensure local contract customers are price compliant with the Master Distribution Agreement (MDA) or Pricing Agreement (PA).
  • Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
