PRICING SCAN CLERK - FT 40 HRS. PER WK.
Department: Pricing
Reports To: Pricing & Category Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Salary Level: $16.00 to $24.00 / hr.
Summary: Ensures highest level of service to BriarPatch Co-op’ s internal and external customers. Assist the Pricing & Category Manager with the day-to-day activities involving overall pricing goals and systems of BriarPatch Co-op. This involves helping to ensure accurate pricing of products through regular audits and checks, processing price changes, and printing and setting shelf tags.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following (Other duties as assigned): Point of Sales Systems:
- Maintain basic knowledge of POS system.
- Ensure correct retail prices at shelf and in Point of Sales system
- Generate shelf tags for new products and price changes and correct discrepancies on shelf tags or scale labels.
- Pricing Systems:
- Conduct regular pricing audits to ensure all information at the shelf matches data in the system.
- Regular printing and setting of labels and signs as needed.
- Point person for managing pricing discrepancies with the Front End
- Other: Attend department meetings and training as required
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Basic Algebra
- Understanding of common fractions, decimals and percent.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- An individual should have knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows
- Spreadsheet software, Excel preferred
- Microsoft Office suite of products
- Point of Sale software
