Job Description

  • Engage continuously with Commercial Brand Teams, Business Managers and Territory Managers across the region to identify needs and opportunities in each market to deliver on brand objectives regarding Price Strategy setting pre-launch and post-launch.
  • Work cross-functionally with key internal and external stakeholders to have a deep understanding of market dynamics across therapeutic areas and markets in Cluster North, maximizing opportunities in each market and brand.
  • Interact with leaders in the organization to discuss and gather inputs to review and align price strategy for each brand across markets while ensuring long term success for AbbVie.
  • Provide analytical support for the development of the pricing strategy of new products in compliance with local, regional, and global regulations and Global Market Access & Pricing Governance.
  • Guarantee that approved prices are consistent with established pricing guidelines, procedures, and strategies and in compliance with local price regulations in each country.
  • Monitor markets to create valuable insights that allow an adequate understanding of key market dynamics and trends across key therapeutic areas, allowing an adequate pricing strategy to be implemented in each market.
  • Collaborate to ensure Price Strategy is aligned with brand value proposition across the product lifecycle and in accordance with the brand´s access strategy and Global Pricing Governance, in order to maximize our brand value in key therapeutic areas.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date pricing information and document price approvals in the International Pricing Systems of Record as required by the local, regional, and global pricing policies.
  • Connect and collaborate with the regional and global Pricing organization for the development of IRP analyses, and discussion of price strategy.
  • Support Pricing/HEOR/Market Access managers in pricing data analysis, product value proposition strategy, and competitive analyses to maximize value proposal for brands and key stakeholders.
  • Develop International Reference Price (IRP) analyses and monitor local price regulations, anticipating price impact while ensuring compliance to local regulations in Region North.
  • Analyze and validate all aspects of discount pricing, rebates and/or administrative fees for contracts to ensure profitability, while generating value for our external stakeholders and brands value proposition.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics)
  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in areas related to the position (pricing, commercial, finance, access), preferably at least 1 year of experience in the pricing area of the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and/or Consulting for Healthcare industry.
  • Strong financial/commercial/business background an asset.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical and data interpretation skills to support the development of compelling value propositions addressing public and private payer needs.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Power BI.
  • Advanced knowledge of English, written and verbal.
  • Understanding of public and private drug reimbursement landscape and health technology assessment process and submission requirements in Latin America.
  • Extensive interpersonal skills to include excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to manage and coordinate multiple activities and due dates, often with shifting priorities, under tight timeframes.
  • Ability to gather data from a variety of sources to use in document and report preparation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and planning skills.
