Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a full time, well-qualified teacher who can teach across the key stages (EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2). The teacher will be responsible for delivering most areas of the curriculum although there are specialist teachers in music, MFL, computing, PE and Art & Design to lead these specific subjects in some year groups. An interest in science or humanities would be an advantage. All members of teaching staff are expected to co-ordinate a subject area throughout the school.

The person appointed will be responsible for the following:
- The planning, preparation and delivery of teaching and learning in their allocated year group or subject, using a variety of teaching styles and resources, inside and outside of the classroom, which will engage and stimulate pupils of all abilities
- Personalising the teaching and learning for all pupils according to their educational needs and abilities
- Provide appropriate stretch and challenge for all pupils
- Give pupils regular feedback, encourage pupils to respond to the feedback, reflect on progress and take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own learning.
- Assessing and monitoring of pupils’ attainment and providing feedback to parents, both verbally and in writing, as appropriate.
- The pastoral care and welfare of pupils in the year group and those they teach
- Promoting good behaviour and learning behaviour among all pupils and safeguarding their health and safety
- Play an active part in the extra-curricular life of the school
- Organise class assemblies and support in year group drama productions
- Support in games afternoons, where this is an interest or strength
- Continuous professional development including undertaking staff review
