REQUIREMENTS:
- Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence and track record of success.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Be a motivated, self starter.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Ability to meet requirements under the The Children’s Act, 2014.
- Strong understanding of the New Zealand curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Flexibility to work during after-school hours and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Engage students and focus on learning.
- Proficient in Kip tutoring method, promoting self-esteem and independence.
- Hold/acquire teaching qualification, committed to professional growth. Maintain clearance for working with children.
- Provide honest, timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Build rapport for a welcoming learning environment.
- Prepared, punctual, and maintain student engagement.
- Deliver goal-oriented lessons effectively.
- Demonstrate high-quality, professional teaching.
- Mark and provide meaningful feedback on all assignments and activities.
- Adapt lessons based on student reassessment and lesson plan guides.
- Maintain rapport with manager and colleagues, communicate student progress concerns.
- Uphold professional standards and treat students with respect.
