About the Role:
QTC are seeking an experienced Principal to join the Monitoring & Evaluation team as part of the Health, Education and Justice team within our growing Advisory Division in Brisbane.
As Principal you will lead projects that not only deliver strategic solutions but also inform and shape policy decisions within the government sector. Your ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, maintain confidentiality, and uphold the highest levels of integrity will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Engage with stakeholders to manage projects that directly inform and influence policy decisions, ensuring that outcomes align with strategic government objectives.
- Leverage your previous experience and understanding of systems thinking and data to conduct rapid program evaluations that provide actionable insights.
- Manage risk proactively across all project phases, implementing robust strategies to safeguard information and maintain confidentiality.
- Uphold integrity in all dealings, ensuring that data handling and stakeholder interactions meet the highest ethical standards.
- Navigate ambiguous environments with agility, iterating work quickly to meet evolving stakeholder needs and policy landscapes.
- Utilise data analytics to synthesise key insights from large datasets, supporting clear and informed government decision-making.
- Oversee contract management processes, ensuring terms are met and performance is monitored.
- Foster a collaborative environment, mentoring your team to excel in the government consulting space.

Bring your experience in systems thinking, rapid program evaluations, managing risk, and contributing to policy decisions through your work. You will be driven to continuously improve social outcomes and bring prior experience from a similar role including:
- Experience in projects that have contributed to policy development or change, with an understanding of the public policy process.
- Qualifications in program evaluation or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in a government context.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to deliver high impact work.
- A track record of managing risk and maintaining confidentiality and integrity in sensitive project environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear policy recommendations.
