Description:
CONMED has an outstanding opportunity for a Principal Analyst Cost Accountant looking to contribute to the success of a global medical device company. We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial accounting data. Ideal candidates will have exceptional critical thinking skills who can work well with a team.
The Principal Analyst Cost Accountant is responsible for all product costing as well as analyzing all inventory transactions and ensuring their accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- 3+ years of accounting and/or cost accounting experience required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint strongly preferred.
- Experience with SQL is preferred.
- Knowledge of MANMAN or another ERP system preferred.
- About 10% travel is required for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Reconciles miscellaneous balance sheet accounts. Manages the cycle count process and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with sales force personnel about demonstration/evaluation equipment.
- Tracking and reconciling field equipment and corresponding accounts.
- Calculates new standard costs during the year.
- Adds and updates vendor data in the A/P system.
- Assists internal and external auditors.
- Regularly reviews and ensures the accuracy of inventory/material transactions.
- Assist in the training of material handlers.
- Analyzing and closing all work orders.
- Performs various month-end closing tasks such as reconciling all cost of good transactions, no charge shipments, scrap, and journalizes depreciation expense.
- Reconciles and manages fixed asset addition/deletion transactions for both internal and statutory purposes.
- Calculates Budget information on Fixed Asset amortization. Inputs router and raw material cost changes for budgeting purposes.
- Provides corporate finance personnel with an AFE schedule (New fixed assets status) on a quarterly basis.
- Provides P.O. commitment information for the 10K.
