Responsibilities:

  • Within ERO, Te Ihuwaka | The Education Evaluation Centre works on a wide variety of topical and timely projects to review the performance of the education system, the effectiveness of programmes, and to identify and share best practice.
  • Te Ihuwaka is uniquely positioned to provide independent and objective advice, which is highly valued by decision makers and stakeholders.
  • You will contribute to work that has real impact on education outcomes in New Zealand. Over the past 12 months, Te Ihuwaka has advised government on what needs to change across a wide range of issues including including mathematics teaching, school attendance and support for new teachers.
  • We also support teachers by providing evidence-base real-world examples of good practice on issues like teaching maths in Years One to Three.
