JOB DESCRIPTION
Chubb Overseas general is seeking a Principal Analyst & Process Engineer for our Global Reinsurance Program. The individual will play a pivotal role within the core delivery team which will implement the solution to numerous countries across the globe.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive or expert level Reinsurance knowledge a must.
- 6+ years’ experience in Analyst or Process Engineering role
- 2+ years’ experience implementing and supporting Reinsurance system.
- Bachelor’s Degree or greater
- Experience working for large/multiline insurance/financial risk company.
- Demonstrated success in understanding business needs and producing business and technical requirements across large distributed, component-based systems in a multi-team environment.
- Strong ability to understand complex data transactions and calculations.
- Proficiency with SQL scripting and data analysis.
- High competence with business/technical speciation techniques and ability to quickly generate documentation requirements documentation.
- Excellent written/verbal skills, polished presentation skills, and ability to communicate clearly to business and technical audiences at all levels. Proficiency with screen mocking software, Microsoft Visio, and UML toolsets.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Works effectively with minimal supervision, both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work well in global multi-organization team environment.
- Ability to train and mentor other Analysts & Engineers.
- Ability to be hands-on when required.
- Must be able to commute 3 days per week to Chubb office in London or Crawley.
- Ability to work early or late on occasion to interact with offshore and remote teams.
- Must be able and willing to travel internationally as required by manager (up to 10%).
Responsibilities:
- Work with the business stakeholders to understand desired capabilities, processes, procedures, regulatory requirements, and reporting needs.
- Document detailed business requirements that will feed into IT development lifecycle and implementation process.
- Create detailed system specifications that include technical user stories, interface/API specifications, system configurations, and data mappings.
- Collaboration with project team to perform detailed gap analysis, design, planning, scoping, and estimation of all activities and workstreams.
- Generate and maintain various analysis and design artifacts including use cases, workflows, charts, and diagrams.
- Participate in architecture, design, modeling, and development meetings to provide insight into system functionality and technical specifications.
- Maintaining comprehensive functional and system knowledge of the solution system including behavior, business flow, data flow, and system interfaces.
- Lead discovery and analysis workshops and deliver training to new employees/team members.
- Retain and Maintain deep Reinsurance business knowledge and functional knowledge of the Reinsurance system.
- Stay aligned with Reinsurance business strategy, provide suggestions to improve solution, and assist with direction of roadmap.
- Support System Test and UAT processes by providing input into test cases and acceptance criteria and assist with transactional data validation and troubleshooting.
- Assist with system upgrades, defect triage and coordination of resolution with core delivery team.
- Assist BAU support team by providing Tier 4 support for complex/critical issues.
