JOB DESCRIPTION

Step into the role of a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies.
As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms(IP), Cloud Platforms, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
  • Experience working in a complex highly regulated environment.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Expertise in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture disciplines
  • Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture
  • Ability to understand technology in the context of the business strategy
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within the APAC region.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring architecture teams, particularly in a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or similar.
  • In-depth understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements, particularly within the APAC region.
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry trends, regulatory requirements, and the competitive landscape within the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

  • Advises and leads on strategy and development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio to drive the target state in the complex APAC environment.
  • Leads a small teams of solutions architects in region to help IP understand local requirements, implement local solutions and align to our strategic target state.
  • Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm’s innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture
  • Builds relationships across the APAC leadership resources and ensures the alignment of Regional Strategy to the Global Strategy and local execution to the Regional Priorities.
  • Creates durable, reusable patterns and target state designs that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
