As the Principal Technical Recruiter at Capital One Canada, you play a pivotal role in end-to-end recruitment for specialized positions, leveraging your creativity and innovation to identify top talent. Your responsibilities extend beyond recruitment, encompassing effective stakeholder management, where your experience ensures seamless collaboration with internal clients. Moreover, your proficiency in data fluency enhances decision-making throughout the recruiting and selection process.
By leading a team and engaging closely with internal clients, you contribute significantly to projects that elevate the overall recruiting experience, ultimately driving Capital One Canada’s success through impactful hires.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a full life-cycle recruiter in a corporate environment, preferably within the tech, data and analytics space
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with recruiting managers and peers on sourcing strategies related to tech, data and analytics
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Stack Overflow, and Google x-ray searches of X or GitHub
  • 2+ years of experience creating and updating talent maps
  • Experience independently partnering with leadership on hiring initiatives
  • Ability to influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in compensation and general HR requirements as related to hiring

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for niche roles. This will include creating compelling position descriptions, sourcing diverse candidate pipelines, marketing Capital One’s talent brand to attract top talent, screening candidates, advising hiring managers on the recruiting process, and negotiating job offers
  • Source stellar candidates. Look beyond direct applications and leverage search engines, career sites, recruiting events, and other innovative sourcing techniques to find the best talent in the market
  • Provide a great end-to-end recruiting experience for candidates and hiring managers
  • Advise clients and leadership on market trends and recommend more effective ways to attract and recruit great talent
  • Develop candidate pipeline strategies to fill open positions (i.e., talent marketing, LinkedIn sourcing, referrals, etc.)
  • Consult with hiring managers on their talent needs
  • Conduct job interviews and facilitate post-interview feedback meetings to aid in candidate selection
  • Create and extend job offers and close identified candidates
  • Leverage recruiting data to proactively provide status updates and hiring results to leadership and HR partners
