Hours of work: 37.5 - 40 hours per week
Position: Permanent
Location: This role will be predominantly at Civic Offices, Christchurch City Council.
Salary: The salary band for this position goes from $111,553 to $123,948 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.

Responsibilities:

We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Principal Business Analyst. This is a new role which will work closely with the Team Leader Business Analysis to strategically provide professional Business Analysis services across various projects and initiatives to create value and deliver outcomes for digital, organisation and customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring on business analysis practices and tools, as well as support the management of the day to day delivery of Business Analysis services from the team.
  • Build strong relationships, working closely with Council teams and business units to understand their needs and the broader organisational environment.
  • Work with technical teams to understand the opportunities and constraints of best practice use of our digital tools and platforms.
  • Assist people to be open to new ideas and new ways of doing things.
