MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
This is an opportunity for you to be part of an established pathway and to have the added benefit of making a significant impact on the shape of the service for the future.
You will ensure that systems are in place and working effectively for the clinical and professional supervision and support of all other psychologists within the pathway. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the team.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As a major requirement of the job, you will conduct training in specialist psychotherapies for staff as well as offering clinical supervision to all grades of staff. You will support the Service Manager, Clinical Team Manager and the senior clinical team in providing clinical leadership and advice within the eating disorders pathway. This may include offering senior clinical cover for the service, responding to queries or FOI requests, undertaking complaints and serious incident investigations and 1:1 management supervision.
We have a strong culture of research and a continuous drive for improving quality, which you will be expected to lead on within the service. You will be expected to contribute to the running of the service and to lead on specific areas of clinical relevance.

The post is working from bases in both East and West Suffolk (Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds), although you may be required to attend other sites as part of your role.
There will be the expectation to weigh and take blood pressure as part of treatment and you will receive the appropriate level of training in this which will include when to report on to other colleagues for further action.
