Description:

Principal CAMHS Clinical Psychologist Hounslow (0.6WTE)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative CAMHS psychologist to join the Child and Family Team in Hounslow CAMHS. The role offers the chance to combine clinical work within a friendly multidisciplinary team with supporting the Consultant Clinical Psychologist with leadership and supervision within the team and Hounslow CAMHS.
CAMHS has been under pressure, and particularly over the past few years as children, young people and families have been impacted by Covid-19. As a CAMHS management team we have expanded our service with the aim of meeting the needs of children, young people and families as well as maintaining our commitments to staff wellbeing, manageable job plans and giving staff the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge further whilst in role. We hope that the successful candidate would join us in this vision for CAMHS and its staff.
You will offer a high-quality clinical psychology service to young people, families and carers within the child and family team, and liaise effectively with other CAMHS colleagues and others in the network supporting the young person. You will also enable colleagues to do similarly across the whole of Hounslow CAMHS through high-quality supervision and a compassionate leadership approach.
The needs of young people and families will be at the centre of thinking about the service, and you will work together with service users and colleagues to ensure that the service best meets the needs of its population. Hounslow is a culturally diverse borough and you will be involved in ensuring that the service is accessible and effective.
Psychologists currently working at highly specialist level, and looking to move to an 8b role are very welcome to apply, and the post would be equally suitable for somebody with experience working at 8b level already, but who wishes to take on a new challenge. You will receive regular supervision and line management from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist based in Hounslow. There is a strong network and regular meetings of senior CAMHS psychologists across the three boroughs (Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham), of which you would be a part. There are excellent opportunities for professional development and specialist supervision groups.
