Job Description
To work as a Principal Consultant within the AMCL North America delivery team leading a variety of Asset Management business transformation projects covering consultancy, training and Asset Management assessments for physical asset intensive organizations.
Responsible for:
- Developing and managing complex Asset Management improvement programs or service lines.
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams and leading the delivery of consultancy projects.
- Leading the development of Asset Management systems/frameworks and the supporting elements such as Asset Management policies, Asset Management strategies (SAMPs) etc.
- Development of Asset Management business capabilities, including associated change activities.
- Defining asset information and information governance approaches.
- Supporting business architecture design, Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts, the Asset Management IT application and technology landscape and marketplace.
- Business case development and benefits realisation.
- Providing advice to clients on Asset Management standards e.g. ISO 55001 and GFMAM Asset Management Subjects.
- Multiple client account and relationship management to identify business opportunities within existing markets.
- Development and submission of proposals, including selecting appropriate methodologies and developing project plans.
- Leading commercial arrangements with clients and developing appropriate invoicing schedules and tracking mechanisms.
- Managing the delivery of multiple projects.
- Assuring the production and handover of final deliverables, including presenting findings to clients.
- Carrying out major project reviews, including capturing client feedback.
Key accountabilities are to:
- Lead and manage key accounts and relationships to identify business opportunities in new and existing markets.
- Lead and manage the delivery of complex Asset Management projects and programs for clients in line with the AMCL project governance requirements.
- Deliver project work, including, but not limited to, facilitating internal and external workshops, writing reports and delivering presentations.
- Guide and support the wider team on Asset Management projects.
- Develop and communicate service offerings and lead solution development and bid activities.
- Provide internal review and challenge to own/team deliverables and determine effective communication strategies for clients.
- This role requires travel across Canada, one or twice per month
Qualifications
Experience/Education:
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Recognized university degree
- Asset Management qualifications from the IAM/SMRP and/or chartered status from a relevant professional body
- Has the Asset Management knowledge and experience to consult with clients in the development of their Asset Management capabilities including the relevant aspects of change, risk and value management.
Working in an infrastructure Asset Management organisation and expert knowledge of the phases of the asset lifecycle (Acquire, Operate, Maintain, Dispose) and its enablers e.g. asset information & asset risk.
