Responsibilities:
Are you a seasoned underwriter with a strong background in underwriting and broker business? Do you have experience underwriting property account with assets over $1billion? If so, we want you to join our dynamic Underwriting team at IAG!
As a Principal Corporate Underwriter, the main focus of this role will be to underwrite and price the largest and most complex insurance risks. You’ll agree on coverage within business strategy, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, product offerings, pricing all within designated underwriting authority. You’ll lead strategic customer relationships within the corporate insurance arena and have a significant presence in the insurance market.
Furthermore, you’ll mentor and guide team members, manage the corporate portfolio across various processes, and build and maintain strong relationships with complex corporate customers and intermediaries. You’ll also support senior management and business development teams with account management, while providing guidance and assistance to surrounding teams within the underwriting division. You will be key in overseeing gross written premium and corporate portfolio profitability, and own and manage corporate customer relationships.
This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working conditions, available only at our IAG office based in Naarm (Melbourne).
