Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Principal Cyber Security Architect will design and oversee implementation of secure information technology architectures. The individual will have significant breadth and depth of expertise in cyber security in order to provide guidance and direction of information system assets, corporate information, and intellectual property assets. May oversee one or more teams during the implementation and integration of new and existing cyber security solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops/recommends modifications to application development, database design, networking, or infrastructure architecture with the goal of complying with internal information security policies and standards.
- Recommends modifications to application development, database design, networking, or infrastructure architecture with the goal of complying with internal information security policies and standards.
- Monitors emerging products, technologies, or best practices that will improve security for the organization and its stakeholders.
- Works with senior leadership in the development of security policies, standards, and strategies.
- Participates in security audits, identifies security gaps, and develops and implements risk mitigation solutions.
- Stays current on evolving security and legislative / regulatory changes related to security. Determines leading edge technical / business approaches and/or develops major new technical tools.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to junior security architects.
- Recognized internally and externally as an expert in the field.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years Experience in enterprise information security architectures and solutions OR High School/GED and at least 9 years Experience in enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
- Experience researching and identifying information security products, services, and trends.
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates
- Experience interacting at the executive level
- Experience identifying issues and recommending and implementing strategies and solutions to resolve problems.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or crossfunctional team leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CISSP or CISA Certification
