JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer with expertise in cloud operations such as AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Warehousing, particularly with databases like PostgreSQL, and the ability to lead the migration of existing data pipelines to modern tools and technologies.

MANDATORY SKILLS

• Expertise in using AWS for cloud-based data solutions.
• Familiarity with services like Amazon S3, AWS Redshift, RDS (especially PostgreSQL), Lambda, and Glue for data processing and storage.
• Deep knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and architecture.
• Expertise with databases like PostgreSQL and their optimization.
• Experience in migrating legacy ETL solutions to modern data stacks.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and processes..
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing scalable data pipelines.
• Strong command of tools and technologies for building data pipelines in cloud environments.
• Experience improving CI/CD processes for automating data pipeline development, testing, and deployment.
• Hands-on with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI for pipeline automation.

• Plan and execute the migration of our existing ETL solution and Data warehouse to a scalable and modern data stack
• Design, develop, and implement software solutions in alignment with best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Drive improvements in the CI/CD processes to streamline data pipeline development, deployment and maintenance.
